“Life’s but a Waking Memory,”  this was my first real short film and the first film I remember feeling proud about. I shot this on my Nikon DSLR, I borrowed from a friend  and I was involved in every aspect of production, writing, directing, cinematography and editing. I submitted this film to my high school’s film festival and I’m proud to say it was one of the films nominated that year for best film. It was a growing experience and the first time I truly was called to create something, the story for a dream-like film had been building within me for a while, greatly influenced by the surreal films of Jean Cocteau, specifically his 1932 “The Blood of a Poet.”
